Junk Removal in Rhode Island — FAQ

We price by how much truck space your load takes, not by the hour. Single items start at $150, a full truck bed is $350, a bed plus a trailer is $500, and two trailer loads run $1,000. You get a firm flat number by text before we drive out — no estimate fee, no deposit, no surprises on the day.

Most jobs get done the same day. We run 7am to 9pm, seven days a week — weekends included, which is when most people are actually home and dealing with this. Text us a photo and we tell you the soonest slot along with the price.

No limit. Providence stops at three items a collection day, Warwick at five with only eight pickups a year, Woonsocket at one item a month. We take whatever fits in the truck, in one visit, usually the same day.

Yes, and it is the single most common reason people call us. Mattresses are the item Rhode Island cities treat as an exception — some charge, some make you drive it out yourself, some require it bagged before it touches the curb. We just take it.

Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, Woonsocket, Newport, East Providence and Central Falls. Each one has its own page with local pricing and that city’s bulky-waste rules. If you are just outside those eight, text us anyway — we will tell you in a minute.

No — we remove items from inside your home, basement, attic or garage. You point at what goes and we handle the lifting.

Usable furniture and appliances go to donation partners, metal and electronics get recycled, and only what is genuinely unusable goes to the RIRRC Central Landfill in Johnston — the state’s only landfill, which takes in more than 90% of Rhode Island’s trash. Paint, chemicals and tires never ride along; those belong at an Eco-Depot event.

Nothing hazardous: paint, solvents, motor oil, propane tanks, car batteries, ammunition or asbestos. Rhode Island runs free Eco-Depot collections for exactly that, by appointment. If you are unsure about an item, text us a photo before you book — it takes a minute and saves a wasted trip.

Rhode Island Dump & Bulky Waste Guide

Want to do it yourself? Here is how disposal actually works in Rhode Island — and why most people end up calling.

Your City’s Curbside Pickup

Every city sets its own rules. Providence caps you at three items a collection day. Warwick allows five items but only eight pickups a year. Woonsocket gives you one item a month. Cranston and Newport charge per item. Central Falls does not take furniture or bulky waste at all.

Mattresses & Box Springs

The item almost every city treats as an exception. Some charge, some make you drive it yourself, some want it bagged before it touches the curb. Check your city page for the local rule.

The Dump (Central Landfill)

Rhode Island has one landfill: the RIRRC Central Landfill at 65 Shun Pike in Johnston, which takes in more than 90% of the state’s solid waste. The Residential Recycling Area for bulky drop-offs sits next door at 3 Shun Pike. Check accepted materials and fees before you drive out — individual residents pay commercial rates.

Paint, Chemicals & Tires

None of these belong in your cart. Rhode Island runs free Eco-Depot events for household hazardous waste — anything labeled toxic, flammable or poison — by appointment only. Tires go to the Residential Recycling Area for a fee, off the rim.

The catch is always the same: item caps, appointments booked days ahead, weekday-only drop-off hours, proof of residency, and your own back doing the lifting. That is the gap we fill.
